DIXON — On Tuesday, the Rochelle Township High School golf team’s season came to an end as they finished fourth out of nine teams and scored 351 points.
The Hubs were only three strokes behind third place Princeton, who was the last team to advance to the sectional meet, but two Rochelle linksters, Brendan O’Rorke and Aaron Mehrings, are heading to Belvidere on Monday to compete in the sectional meet as individuals.
The two led the Hubs at the sectional qualifier in Dixon on Tuesday and each placed high enough to continue their season at least for one more week.
