HILLCREST—What is normally a cornfields in front of Calvary Lighthouse Church turned into a circus Tuesday morning as the Kelly Miller Circus pitched colorful tents and displayed exotic animals near the church parking lot and building.
A menagerie of camels, zebras, tigers, elephants, ponies, llamas and small dogs were already out and about Tuesday morning, hours before the evening circus performances. Although performances didn’t start until 4:30 p.m. and then again at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Kelly Miller Circus displayed some of their animal performers, as well as offered pony rides and camel rides to visiting children.
