Benefit planned for local woman

ROCHELLE — Desiree Thompson-Munch fought and won the battle with breast cancer more than 10 years ago, but now she is battling bone cancer.

To help cover the costs of her rising medical bills, friends and co-workers are hosting a benefit on Oct. 13 for Thompson-Munch.

“She worked at Abraham’s and was a phenomenal waitress, said Ashley Emrick, co-worker. “We love her.”
