ROCHELLE — Yorkville scored first, but the Rochelle Township High School varsity soccer team scored more often as it picked up an important victory on Wednesday by defeating the Foxes 3-1.
In the third minute of play, Yorkville scored leaving both the Hubs and their head coach Keith Lamb quite surprised.
“I still don’t really know what happened to let them (Yorkville) score so quickly. We just lost focus,” he said. “At that point I really didn’t know what to expect.”
But Lamb needn’t have worried, as five minutes later, Justin Boston connected with Johnny Villalobos to put the score at an even 1-1.
