Hub runners record many personal bests at Matt Walter Invite

ROCHELLE — The conditions were nearly perfect as the Rochelle Township High School cross-country team traveled to Genoa to run at the Matt Walter Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

Although the Lady Hubs finished ninth overall with 220 points, senior Michelle Dobbs nearly won the meet taking second with a time of 18:49.

The varsity squad finished eighth overall and scored 195 points. Gabe Pedraza led the Hubs with a time of 16:57, a season best for him and a 24th place finish overall. The varsity squad finished eighth overall and scored 195 points.
