ROCHELLE — Several times a day birds flock to Grant Thompson’s backyard to eat at the numerous birdfeeders he has made. This year, one bird stands out from the rest.

The bird stands out from the other house sparrows as the normal black, brown or gray coloring is missing and the albino’s eye is pink.
