Park district’s shoe collection event successful

ROCHELLE — We would like to thank all who donated their used tennis shoes for our Nike © “ReUse a shoe” campaign.

The Park District collected a total of 108 pairs of shoes! So you may be asking, “What does Nike do with all those shoes?”

The Park District will ship’em out to one of Nike’s processing centers located in Memphis, Tenn.
