Charles “Chuck” T. Smith

STEWARD — Charles “Chuck” T. Smith, 62, of Steward, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Rochelle Community Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1949 in Bruce, Wis., to Jacob J. and Emelyn E. (Miller) Smith. Chuck was employed as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his companion, Wanda Bock of Steward; son, Tom Smith of Woodridge; daughter, Teresa (Aaron Calhoon) Smith of Seneca; brother, Jim (Larae) Smith of Seneca; four grandchildren, Logan, Brandon, Ashtin and Austin Smith; his two dogs, Buddy and Riley; and cat, Gizmo.

A visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle, on Friday, Sept. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. Cremation rites will follow the visitation.
