OGLE COUNTY — Preschool screenings for children ages 2 years 6 months to 5 years of age (who are not enrolled in kindergarten) will be held throughout Ogle County.
Parents with children in the Rochelle school district should call Central Elementary at 815-562-8251 or En espanol: llamar Lincoln Elementary 815-562-4520, Ext. 8 for an appointment.
Dates/Times: March 21, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., March 22, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., May 2, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., May 22, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
A Spanish interpreter will be available on March 22 and May 22 upon request.
Location: Hicks Hall – Rochelle United Methodist Church, 709 Fourth Ave., Rochelle.
This screening is a routine check of your child’s general development in the areas of language, concepts and motor skills. A hearing and vision screening are also available. Each screening takes about one hour.
Appointments are necessary. Parents are strongly encouraged to be on time for their scheduled time slot or they may be asked to reschedule if more than 10 minutes late.
An infant and toddler screening questionnaire can be available for children from birth through 2 years 6 months of age. Questionnaires and return envelopes are available upon request (815-234-2722, Ext. 118).
