Crossing off a final adventure

ROCHELLE –– “I went skydiving, I went Rocky Mountain Climbing and I went two point seven seconds on a bull …. Some day I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying,” sings Tim McGraw in “Live Like You Were Dying.”

Millions of people have one last adventure, story to live, or conversation they want to have before they “kick the bucket.” For some that item may never be shared, others write down a detailed “Bucket List” of items they want to complete before dying.

Former President George Bush first skydived on his 80th birthday. Since then, Chicagoland Skydive Center has seen an increase in senior citizen skydivers celebrating their birthday by jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
