STERLING — John Dobbs’ crew of track athletes found themselves at a familiar venue on Thursday afternoon at the Westwood Athletic Complex, where they practice their field events during indoor season and competed in their first meet.
The Clinton Warm-up is a unique meet for the Hubs as it serves as a glorified practice for teams with no points being recorded, but coaches do record times and distances to gauge their team’s performance.
“Quite impressed with the overall feel of the meet and how our guys handled themselves,” Rochelle head coach John Dobbs said.
The Hubs competed in multiple events except, the 4x800 relay, pole vault, and triple jump. Discus is not thrown at indoor meets.
