CRESTON — Headon’s Fine Meat and Catering owner Lyle Headon approached Creston trustees during the October Village of Creston board meeting Tuesday asking to close the alley next to the meat market.
Headon is seeing an expansion in business and has recently gone under Illinois state inspection to help with the growth. The new inspection standards require the meat market to have a cooler adjacent to the cutting room. The cement slab and cooler will be located between the two buildings Headon owns.
“We have no other place to put it, we are between a rock and a hard place,” explained Headon.
