ROCHELLE — Rochelle elementary students have been in session for eight days, but have yet to attend a full day of classes.
Due to extremely high temperatures, the Rochelle Elementary School District and St. Paul Lutheran School have dismissed students early all week. The elementary schools have let out at 1:30 p.m. and the middle school dismissed at 1:43 p.m. During the first week of classes, last week, students were dismissed early as is customary during the first week of classes.
The early dismissals will not push back the school year and students are currently staying on the same schedule at all schools. For the complete article see the 08-29-2013 issue.
