ROCHELLEóMulti-talented musician Jim Kanas of Kings has played instruments all over the world with famous musicians including Alison Krause, Steve Goodman, the Nashville Cats, Harvey Reid and more. Kanas, who travels regularly to teach about the origins of music, held the studentsí focus by quizzing them on the different types of instruments and their origins. He demonstrated sounds from unique instruments and informed them about the progression of music, which began with immigrants from different countries arriving by boat with their stowaway instruments.
