ROCHELLE — Caleb Holder spent most of his free time at T-Byrd Lanes and had plans to become a professional bowler. A year shy of fulfilling his dream, Holder, 21, passed away on June 19 in a motorcycle accident.
To show support for Holder’s family and honor Holder, friends and family members are hosting a bowling benefit at T-Byrd Lanes on Saturday, Oct. 12.
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. two games and shoe rentals can be purchased for $10 with all proceeds going to Holder’s family to cover funeral costs.
Holder’s fiancé Heather Newlum explained Holder began working at Rochelle Foods a few months before the accident and did not have insurance to help cover costs.
