SARASOTA, Fla. — Charles Hal Masters, D.D.S., passed away July 10, 2013. He was born Nov. 3, 1925.
Survivors include Sandra Masters, his wife of 37 years; a sister, Mary Brandt (Floyd); and children, Susan Shew Hauger (Richard) of Encinitas, Calif., Jack Masters (Michelle) of Sacramento, Calif., Thomas Masters of San Clemente, Calif., William Masters (Debbi) of Arlington Heights; and five grandchildren, Jackson, Ryan, Sara, William, Jr., and Benjamin Masters.
Dr. Masters served in the Army Air Corp. and was discharged in 1944. He followed in his father’s footsteps in dentistry in Rochelle and later in Waukegan where he retired in 1991. He and Sandra built a home in Stone Lake, Wis., and moved to Sarasota, Fla., in 1997.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 7 at Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle.
Cremation has been pre-arranged with the Neptune Society.
