Emmie was born July 13, 1923 to John James and Helen (Hayes) Brennan in Rochelle.
She graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1941. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Illinois and was a stewardess for United Airlines

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- Richard W. Hunt of Hendersonville died on Aug. 15, 2016 at The Bridge in Lake Pointe Landing. Born March 12, 1929 in Rochelle, he was the only son of William and Laura Hunt. In 1951 he graduated from Bradley University in Peoria. Richard served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for four years.

ROCKFORD -- Darrel F. Manring, 83, of Rockford, died on Aug. 19, 2016 in MapleCrest Care Center in Belvidere.  Born Jan 31, 1933, son of Linzie and May Manring in Geff, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from NIU in DeKalb.
Darrel enjoyed camping, he loved a campfire and cooking over the camp fire.
