ROCHELLE -- A roller coaster of a game ended with a loss for the Rochelle Township High School freshman baseball team Thursday.
After putting four runs on the board in the sixth inning to take a one-run lead on Geneseo, the Maple Leafs snuck across a score in the seventh to send the game to extras tied at five.

ROCHELLE -- After Thursday's 10-3 home loss to Geneseo, the Rochelle Township High School sophomore baseball team ended a three-game series with the Maple Leafs with a single victory, a 6-5 win in the middle game of the set.

ROCHELLE -- Lady Hubs coach Keith Lamb said something had to change after his team's 7-0 Tuesday loss to Morris.

ROCHELLE -- The Rochelle Township High School sophomore and freshmen baseball teams took on squads from Geneseo High School Monday, with the Maple Leafs coming out on top in both contests.

The first chance to register will be will be Wednesday, May 13, at the Kish Health System Office Community room. The registration will last from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

OREGON -- The Rochelle Middle School track team and field team earned a pair of podium sweeps Monday at Oregon during its fourth track meet of the season.
The eighth grade boys team took first place in the event with 107 points, 30 ahead of second place. The seventh grade boys also took the top spot with 98 total points.

YORKVILLE -- Rochelle Township High School coach Jarrod Reynolds said after Tuesday's game against Yorkville that he didn't think the Hubs played as badly as the final score indicated. But that didn't wipe away the scoreboard's 11-1 tally in favor of Foxes.
