Hubs gear up for holiday tourney play

DEKALB -- In what may be the toughest part of their schedule, the Rochelle Township High School varsity boys' basketball team finishes the year by competing in the 87th Annual Chuck Dayton Holiday Classc in DeKalb. The tournament begins Monday and runs through next Saturday, Dec. 27.
The Hubs open tournament play by taking on Moline (5-3) at 3:30 p.m.

ROCHELLE -- The Rochelle Hubs bounced back from a rough weekend tournament at LaSalle-Peru and knocked off rival DeKalb 8-2 at home on Tuesday afternoon.

ROCHELLE -- Coming off a big tournament win at LaSalle-Peru on Saturday, the Lady Hub bowling team was hoping to carry that momentum over in a home match against Sycamore on Tuesday afternoon, but the pins weren't falling for Rochelle.

ROCKFORD -- The Rochelle Lady Hub bowling team competed in the J-Hawk Invitational tournament on Saturday and placed 10th out of 16 teams.
Rochelle totaled 2,580 pin in three games, and then added another 2,001 in Baker style format for a grand total of 4,581. Baker style play consists of each bowler taking turns and rolling two frames per game.
