Rochelle freshmen team ends season with win over Kaneland

ROCHELLE -- The freshmen Hubs football team won its season finale 28-8 over the Kaneland Knights on Monday night. The win gives the Hubs an 8-1 record on the season and a Northern Illinois Big 12 Western Division title.

Disc golf tourney to benefit local food pantry

ROCHELLE -- The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District is hosting a "Disc'n For Donations" disc golf tournament on Saturday, Nov. 8 to help the local food pantry.
The cost to enter the tournament is $8, along with a donation of three non-perishable food or toiletry items. Fifty percent of the entry fees will be donated with all of the food items.

New cement tee boxes improve play at disc golf course

ROCHELLE -- New cement slab tee boxes at the Skare Park disc golf course were installed in late August, and according to Flagg-Rochelle Park District executive director Eric Christensen, players are pleased with the improvement.
