ROCHELLE — A 93-year-old Rochelle tradition continues with the fireman’s ball on Jan. 26.
The ball is the longest lasting event in Rochelle and the current fire department tries to stay with the tradition of past balls.
The fireman’s ball is the main fundraiser for the Rochelle Fire Department; however, ticket prices remain $1 — the original ticket price in 1920. Tickets can be purchase in advance from any firefighter or at the door for $3.
The 93rd annual Fireman’s Ball will bgein at 8p.m. and run until to midnight in the Stillman Room at Hickory Grove Banquet and Convention Center.
