ROCHELLE — Illinois has serious budget deficits and needs to take steps to save the state from the possibility of bankruptcy.
The League of Women Voters is hosting Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Rochelle Township High School auditorium for the free “Illinois State Budget Crisis” presentation.
Martire’s program will center with the structural issues that have contributed to the state’s fiscal problems, and the potential consequences these factors may have on the many services and programs our state provides.
