ROCHELLE -- Earl W. Bien, 66, passed away at his home with his family at his side. He was born on Nov. 1, 1948, in Pine Rock Township near Chana, the son of Arnold and Mable Palmer Bien. Earl married Karen Jane Slagle on Feb. 4, 1984 in Rochelle. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.
