HANNAH Busching’s plan to become a Spanish teacher was cemented during a recent visit to Mexico early this summer, after she traveled with her RTHS Spanish teacher Javier Zepeda and fellow students John Wendling, Karl Rand, and David Haub.
They visited the Zepeda family compound in Guanajuato plus the states of Michoacán and Queretaro.
“I’ve never visited a place where everyone you met was warm and welcoming, a place where no one was slave to a schedule, a place where you were made to feel as if your visit was the highlight your host’s day?” Busching asked. “The generosity of everyone we met, their genuine pleasure at welcoming us as guests has left me eager to return to Mexico and to teach Mexican culture to my students someday.”
