ROCHELLE — Michael Simpson, 46, of Rochelle, died Friday, June 19 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27 at the Compton United Methodist Church, Compton with Rev. Ken Foster officiating.

Mr. Simpson was born May 27, 1963 in Mendota, to Marion Thomas and Evelyn Mae (Cooper) Simpson.

He is survived by his father, Tom, of Dixon; his mother, Evelyn (David) Cox, of Rochelle; one daughter, Misty Simpson, of Rochelle; three brothers, Gerald (Evelyn) Simpson, of DeKalb, Tom (Jeanette) Simpson III, of Benton, Ark. and Mark Cox, of Waterman; two sisters, Melinda (Hank) Pielach, of Mt. Prospect, and Glenda (John) Kalebaugh, of Eldena; two step-brothers, Larry (Barb) Woodyatt, of Dixon, and Mike Woodyatt, of DeKalb; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by one brother, Ron and step-mother, Bette.

Torman Funeral Home in Paw Paw assisted the family.
