ROCHELLE — A blustery Thursday morning did not keep a crowd from welcoming Phil Keoghan, host of CBS’s The Amazing Race as he made a stop in the “Hub City” on his bicycle journey to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.

Keoghan is traveling by bicycle from Los Angeles to New York for Bike MS, a fundraising cycling series across the nation. Keoghan told the crowd gathered Thursday at the Cooper Park band shell that he hopes to raise $500,000 for the cause during his trip.

“MS affects people in so many different ways,” he told the crowd of Rochelle residents. “...I ask for your help to fight this disease.”
